I didn't know that but it doesn't surprise me at all. Once you close the message, the new castle holding is added in a new holding slot even though there are no holding slots available. Go and start building something in that empty holding slot so that all holding slots are occupied.
If the county in question only has 1 empty holding slot, when you get the message that the castle has been built, do NOT close the message. This is kind of off topic, but there is an exploit regarding that WoL event. The Reaper's Due event adds a new, empty holding slot to the county. Way of Life had an event that would build a new castle (or let someone run with your money) in an empty holding slot. Originally posted by KG:That's not a Way of Life event by the way. I assume you can delete buildings from the entry to remove them from the barony when it is created, but I didnt want to chance glitching or whatever so just copy pasted the existing one wholesale. Just use the console command "give_title titlecode character_id" to give them to whoever you want (note the control command in the official wiki doesnt work, this one does). If you have done it right the new provinces will exist when you load the game but belong to no one.
txt in \SteamApps\common\Crusader Kings II\history\provinces and save the file. Then copy and paste the existing barony in your save file, should look something like īut with different names of course, then change the name of the barony to one of the unused viable names from the province.
Open it and check what barony names are in there (as only those are valid, trying to create a new barony with it's own name doesnt work). Then open the \SteamApps\common\Crusader Kings II\history\provinces folder, and look for the province you want to edit. Save your file uncompressed, open it with Notepad++, search for a barony in the province you want to add more to, the entry should have a number denoting the county number at the top of it. You need a DLC for that, and I am poor :D.įigured it out anyway, was actually pretty easy just the search function on Notepad++ was being wierd.
